On Friday, the 8th of December, the management of the ARMA and the Business Ombudsman Council agreed to cooperate on urgent issues related to the ARMA’s competence.
The Asset Recovery and Management Agency was represented by the Head of the ARMA, Olena Duma, and the Deputy Head of the ARMA for European Integration, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Grigol Katamadze. The Business Ombudsman Council was represented by Business Ombudsman Roman Vashchuk and his deputy Tetiana Korotka.
The Agency's management briefed Roman Vashchuk and Tetiana Korotka on the main directions of ARMA's activities, presented the current achievements of the state authority and informed them about promising vectors of cooperation.
“The ARMA considers it a priority to protect the property rights and interests of business entities, which in turn should not contradict the interests of the Ukrainian state,” emphasized the Head of the Agency.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed high-profile cases that require synergy of efforts between public authorities and private companies and are of significant importance in “business-government” relations. For example, the situation with the possible disconnection of electricity supply to the seized Ovruch gravel plant and the possible termination of gas supply to the village of Kytchenkivka (Kharkiv region) due to the suspension of Ukrnaftoburinnya`s operations.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue to ensure Ukraine’s economic stability.
