The National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (hereinafter - the National Agency) continues to establish an effective partnership with business in the different sectors of production. So, recently the National Agency has transferred under the management of the manager the next seized asset - a grain elevator located on the territory of the Luhansk region in the city of Novoaidar.
The head of the National Agency Anton Yanchuk noted that this is the first example of the transfer into the management of such an enterprise of the agricultural sector. The task of the manager is to preserve the economic value of this enterprise and pay revenues from management to the state budget in accordance with the terms of the concluded contract.
The transfer of the elevator into the management is a responsible step both for the National Agency and for the manager, because it has strategic importance for the entire region. The elevator in Novoaidar is one of the largest operational elevators on the territory of eastern Ukraine with developed infrastructure and storage capacity for grain more than 120 000 tons.
The continuous operation of the elevator, especially on the eve of harvest, this is a stable payment to budgets of all levels and almost 200 workplaces in the region.
From that moment, the National Agency will monitor the effectiveness of management. For today, there are reasons to believe that such management can become another example of effective cooperation between business and the state.
It should be reminded that the assets of the elevator were transferred under the management of the National Agency on the basis of the order of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv dated January 17, 2018.
