National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (hereinafter - ARMA) and Ministry of Interior of Ukraine (hereinafter - MIU) signed joint orders "On Approval of the Procedure of provision to the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes of information from personal-reference accounting of a Unified Information System of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine" and " On some issues concerning provision to the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes of access to information resources of Unified Information System of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine".
Orders determine the procedure for ARMA's access to the information resources of the UIS of the MIU and the mechanisms of joint cooperation required for finding, tracing and management of assets, that can be seized in criminal proceedings.
In order to expand the institutional capacity of ARMA, ongoing efforts are being made to connect to the unique information resources of state bodies. At present ARMA is in negotiations on connecting to data banks of six more state authorities.
According to the Special Law, ARMA in order to fulfill its functions has access to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations (under the procedure and to the extent provided for by a common order of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and ARMA), automated information and reference systems, registers and data banks, maintained (administered) by governmental authorities or local self-government authorities, use state, including governmental, means of communication, special communication network and other technical means.
