Representative of ARMA as a member of Ukrainian delegation participated in the Plenary Meeting of the OECD Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which was held on March 20-22, 2019, in Paris, French Republic.
In 2016, the fourth round of evaluation of Ukraine was launched within the framework of the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan. The report containing recommendations for the implementation of the anti-corruption reform in Ukraine within the framework of the fourth round of evaluation was adopted at the OECD Plenary Meeting which took place in Paris on September 11-14, 2017.
In particular, the recommendations contained provisions on ensuring the institutional capacity of ARMA in order to achieve its legislative goals, strengthen cooperation with law enforcement agencies and expand its powers in the field of international cooperation and assets recovery.
During the regular 20th monitoring meeting of the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan of the OECD Anticorruption Network, which took place on March 20-22, 2019, the Head of International Department informed the OECD of the progress made in the accomplishment of the OECD recommendations, both in the legislative and implementing spheres, and provided information on presentation of the List of seized assets, transferred into ARMA`s management and introduced Methodological recommendations: "Guidelines for the management of seized assets."
OECD experts noted steady progress in the institutional and functional development of ARMA, which was outlined in the Report, approved on the basis of the implementation of the OECD Anti-Corruption Network recommendations.
