Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina sign international interagency agreement on asset recovery and management

The international interagency agreement on partnership and cooperation between the Ukrainian Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) and the Seized Property Management Agency of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is aimed at enhancing international cooperation between the two agencies in the finding, tracing and management of illicitly acquired assets.

The signing of the Agreement took place during an online meeting between the team of the Ukrainian Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), led by the Head of the National Agency Olena Duma, the team of the Seized Property Management Agency (Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), led by the Director of the Agency Emir Bašić, as well as representatives of the OSCE - Sami Rihainen and Merima Abdić.

Olena Duma noted that the signing of the Memorandum is not a mere formality, but a reflection of the shared vision of cooperation, expansion of interaction, and exchange of experience and knowledge.

"We see in this document an opportunity to work on new joint projects. For our part, we are ready to make every effort to ensure that our interaction yields real results beneficial to both parties," said the Head of ARMA.

Emir Bašić emphasized that the Seized Property Management Agency is ready for open dialogue to strengthen the capabilities of both agencies in the field of property management.

"We are ready to share ideas and experiences. I am confident that our cooperation will be productive," highlighted the Director of the Agency.

OSCE representative Sami Rihainen mentioned that he was pleased to provide a platform for the meeting and to be present at such a significant event as the signing of the interagency agreement between the two institutions. He also noted that the OSCE will continue to support the cooperation of asset management institutions, both within the framework of the Balkan Asset Management Interagency Network (BAMIN) and separately. Additionally, Sami Rihainen expressed confidence in further fruitful cooperation.
