ARMA, by order of the President of Ukraine, will participate in the 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption

On International Anti-Corruption Day, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency emphasises the importance of international cooperation in strengthening the global anti-corruption infrastructure.

Acting Head of ARMA Yaroslava Maksymenko, by order of the President of Ukraine, will participate in the 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties to UNCAC, which will take place on 15-19 December in Doha (Qatar).

The Ukrainian delegation at the event will be led by Viktor Pavlushchyk, Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention. The delegation also includes representatives of key anti-corruption and diplomatic institutions:

representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine;

Head of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine - Vira Mykhailenko;

First Secretary of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the International Organisations in Vienna, Oleksandr Oborskyi;

Head of the International Cooperation Department of the NACP, Svitlana Pylypets.

ARMA consistently implements international standards of integrity

The agency complies with the provisions of the UN Convention against Corruption and ensures transparent tracing, seizure and management of assets related to criminal offences, implements modern analytical tools and strengthens the trust of international partners in Ukraine.

«ARMA is a bridge between the criminal justice system and the state's economic policy. The recovery of assets is not only a matter of justice, but also an element of the country's economic stability», said Yaroslava Maksymenko.

Ukraine remains committed to anti-corruption reforms

Participation in the 11th session of UNCAC confirms Ukraine's consistency in fulfilling its international obligations, implementing transparency standards and anti-corruption reforms even in the context of full-scale war.

International Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated annually on 9 December, the day the UN Convention against Corruption was adopted.

UNCAC (2003) is a universal international agreement that defines mechanisms for preventing corruption, criminalising offences, international cooperation and asset recovery.

The Conference of the States Parties to UNCAC is the key body for monitoring the implementation of the Convention and setting global priorities in the fight against corruption.
