Head of ARMA meets with Ambassador of Spain to Ukraine

The Head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), Olena Duma, held a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine, Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Jagu.
The Head of the National Agency familiarized the Ambassador with the principles of work of the renewed ARMA and its team, emphasizing the Ambassador's attention to the openness and transparency of the Ukrainian agency.
Olena Duma also emphasized the importance of ARMA's international cooperation, as the agency has numerous assets abroad that have been transferred to the National Agency for management or sale by Ukrainian court decisions. For example, the Head of ARMA said that a Ukrainian court decision to transfer real estate seized property located in Spain to ARMA for management has already been legalized.
Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Jagu expressed his readiness to facilitate direct contact between ARMA and the Asset Recovery and Management Office of the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Spain.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to facilitate direct contact with the Office for Asset Recovery and Management ofo the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Spain. In particular, it was about starting interagency cooperation with this unit and holding relevant consultations on the mechanisms of management of seized property in Spain, legislative norms of such management and relevant procedures.
