ARMA has been granted observer status in MENA-ARIN, a network that bringstogether countries of the Middle East and North Africa on issues related to thetracing, seizure and recovery of criminal assets.
In practice, this step provides Ukraine with direct access to international dataexchange and new asset-tracing tools in the MENA region, while simultaneouslystrengthening the professional capacities of ARMA specialists through joint trainingactivities and the expansion of the geography of international cooperation.
This step will help improve the efficiency of tracing and recovering assets transferredout of Ukraine. The status became possible due to the Agency’s systematic work, particularly during the 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties to theUnited Nations Convention against Corruption (COSP11) in Doha (Qatar). Thisfurther deepens Ukraine’s integration into the global asset recovery system.
For reference: MENA-ARIN headquarters are located in Riyadh, and in 2026 thechairmanship is held by the United Arab Emirates.
