The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) will purchase Military Bonds for 2 billion UAH. These funds were on the accounts of companies engaged in providing online casino services in Ukraine and associated with Russian business and capital.
Earlier, at the request of prosecutors, the Prosecutor General's Office received a court order to transfer funds in the amount of 2.6 billion UAH to the management of the ARMA. Cooperation ARMA with the SBI, took organizational measures that resulted in the transfer of these funds from the company's bank accounts to ARMA's current account in a state bank.
According to the Law, ARMA may purchase War Bonds in the amounts approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, but not more than 80% of the funds on the Agency's deposit accounts, so the possible amount of War Bonds purchase is currently 2 billion UAH.
The Head of ARMA Olena Duma signed the Order on the purchase of the specified amount of War Bonds. The next step is the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in accordance with the Law.
The total portfolio of seized funds under ARMA's management, taking into account the above, has reached a record amount of more than 10 billion UAH.
The Agency contributes to Ukraine's soonest victory against the aggressor state by purchasing Military Bonds. These funds are used to provide our military with everything they need: from weapons to medicines.
Buying government bonds is a financial weapon against Russia. And ARMA is the only body authorized to purchase government bonds. As of now, ARMA has already purchased almost 6 billion UAH in equivalent of war bonds, including 31 million USD and 6.5 million EUR .
