In connection with the latest statement by the Head of the ARMA Anti-Corruption Council concerning her deputy, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency emphasizes its commitment to support any subsequent personnel decisions of the ARMA Anti-Corruption Council.
The ARMA Anti-Corruption Council is an independent advisory body established on September 19, and empowered to decide independently on the rules and procedures governing its operations.
If the ARMA Anti-Corruption Council decides to hold a meeting to discuss and vote on personnel issues, the National Agency will provide all the necessary conditions for this.
The central executive body with a special status has unwavering tasks - to introduce zero tolerance to corruption, the principles of integrity and transparency in ARMA. Systematic anti-corruption activities have already been launched to eliminate manual tenders, which resulted in a shortfall in funds due to inefficient management and, accordingly, led to millions of losses to the state budget. In addition, we have stopped selecting winners of discretionary tenders, and those involved have been dismissed."
As an integral part of Ukraine's anti-corruption infrastructure, ARMA has taken several noteworthy steps in recent months to maintain transparency. Notably, public access to the Unified State Register of Seized Assets was opened, and new procedures for the selection of managers and the transparent sale of seized assets, both domestically and abroad, were developed and approved.
Since its establishment in 2016, the Agency and its management have made many mistakes in their work. The consequences of those mistakes are today`s real resistance of those involved in the already destroyed schemes and corruption.
