The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted an order to approve such an agreement today, April 30. This was announced today by Head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency Olena Duma.
The Government approved the purchase of a new package of military bonds worth UAH 1.7 billion.
"In the near future, we plan to submit a new project worth almost USD 40 million for the Government's approval, which will amount approximately UAH 1.5 billion for urgent support of the Ukrainian Defence Forces," said Olena Duma.
Head of the National Agency added that ARMA will do everything possible to allocate even more funds through the purchase of War Bonds in order to buy weapons, ammunition, medicines, military equipment to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and finance the country's defence needs.
As a reminder, on April 23, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted Draft Law No. 10397, which amended the Law "On the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes" regarding the management of foreign currency funds. This means that the government will be able to allocate another USD 40 million for the country's defence needs.
Earlier, on April 17, ARMA received more than UAH 112 million as a regular payment on military bonds.
