Stanislav Petrov, Deputy Head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), as part of the Ukrainian delegation, continued his work at the 23rd Annual EPAC/EACN Professional Conference in Bucharest. The delegation also included Semen Kryvonos, Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), and Viktor Pavlushchyk, Head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC).
During the second day of the conference, ARMA representatives headed by Stanislav Petrov took an active part in the work of thematic groups, where key issues of anti-corruption, integrity, as well as mechanisms of asset seizure and management were discussed. Special attention was paid to the introduction of innovative IT tools to ensure integrity in public office.
An important part of the event was the exchange of experience with leading anti-corruption institutions in Europe, in particular with representatives of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), the National Integrity Agency of Romania, the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau of Poland, the Special Investigation Bureau of Lithuania and the National Agency for the Management of Seized Assets of Romania.
The Ukrainian delegation joined a panel discussion on global anti-corruption reforms and the role of the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention in setting international standards. Active participation in the conference allowed not only to present Ukraine's experience but also to strengthen international cooperation with key partners.
A significant event of the conference was the admission of new members to the EPAC network - the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of Ukraine (NAPC) and the National Agency for the Management of Seized Assets of Romania (ANABI).
ARMA joined the EPAC/EACN network on November 3, 2023, by unanimousdecision of all members of the organization in Dublin (Ireland).
The National Agency congratulates its colleagues on this important event and is confident in strengthening cooperation within the EPAC network.
