The signing of the agreement took place as part of a working visit to the city of Chisinau (Republic of Moldova) by delegation of Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) headed by the Deputy Head of the National Agency for European Integration - Grigol Katamadze.
The visit of the ARMA delegation began with a visit to the Embassy of Ukraine in Moldova and a meeting with the Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in Moldova Natalia Sirenko.
The signing of the Memorandum on Partnership and Cooperation took place at the National Anticorruption Center (NAC).
"Cooperation between our agencies has already been partially implemented through channels of international interaction. I am sure that the signing of the Memorandum will strengthen it even more, which in the future will affect the increase in the effectiveness of the activities of both agencies in the finding and management of assets obtained through crime," said the Deputy Head of ARMA.
Director of NAC Oleksandr Pynzar assured the Ukrainian delegation of readiness for fruitful interdepartmental cooperation and noted that the consolidation of cooperation by signing the Memorandum will directly affect the strengthening of the fight against corruption in the country.
Alexander Savka - Deputy Director of the National Anticorruption Center and Serhii Karapunarl - Head of the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) were also present during the meeting.
