The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) is developing Ukraine's first secure system of electronic information interaction with prosecutors and pre-trial investigation authorities. The system is expected to be put into trial operation by the end of 2024.
The development of the system is envisaged by the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025 and the National Informatization Program, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
The system is designed for the prompt exchange of information between ARMA and law enforcement agencies on the identification, tracing and management of assets. This will significantly speed up the process of sending requests to ARMA and receiving information about identified assets subject to seizure.
The key participants in the information exchange will be: The Prosecutor General's Office, the National Police of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The main advantages of implementing the system are:
“The implementation of this unique system will significantly increase the efficiency of work on identifying and tracing criminal assets. This is an important step in the development of digital transformation and interagency cooperation between ARMA and law enforcement agencies,” said Deputy Head of ARMA Stanislav Petrov.
The system is being developed with the highest standards of information security and in accordance with the requirements of the legislation on information protection. Its implementation will help to increase transparency, minimize corruption risks and improve the efficiency of ARMA's work.
