20-11-2024

ARMA is establishing a working group with the participation of representatives of state authorities, local governments, law enforcement agencies, the Prosecutor's Office and local council members to address the management of the important enterprise, Poltava Turbo Mechanical Plant PJSC, and to prevent its shutdown. The working group is established on the basis of special legislation on ARMA.

Earlier, ARMA sent a letter to the Head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration and local authorities with the initiative to create a working group, involve an ARMA authorized person and local deputies in order to:

  • Obtaining objective information
  • Developing a roadmap for response
  • Preventing any negative consequences for the company, employees, violation of their labor rights, payment of taxes, preservation of the seized asset, which is extremely important for the region.

However, the Poltava Regional State Administration reported that it did not have such powers. Therefore, by the decision of the ARMA leadership, the working group will be established under the chairmanship of the National Agency. Thus, ARMA will take all necessary measures to ensure the preservation of the plant's production activities and the workforce until a manager is selected on a competitive basis.

As a reminder, Poltava Turbomechanical Plant is one of the main manufacturers of spare parts for steam turbines. The company's main activities include the production of technical products: air compressors and compressor stations and spare parts for power equipment. The main consumers of the plant's products are Ukrainian power plants, enterprises that operate steam turbines, construction and installation organizations, and others. Therefore, the uninterrupted operation of the enterprise is extremely important for the country.
