ARMA and EBA join forces to strengthen Ukraine's economy

30-08-2024

In 2024, ARMA has already generated almost UAH 1.8 billion in revenues to the State Budget of Ukraine through the effective management and sale of seized assets. This figure continues to grow every day, demonstrating Ukraine's potential to strengthen its economy.

This was announced by the Head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) Olena Duma in her speech at the EBA Regulatory Committee's expanded meeting on “Protecting the rights and interests of Ukrainian business during the war”. The event was also attended by representatives of business, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

“Since the second half of 2023, we have implemented new approaches to our work, eliminating the shortcomings and corruption risks of previous years. We have developed the necessary regulatory framework, providing transparent rules for the sale of seized assets through the Prozorro.Prodazhi online auction system and open competitive selection of managers,” said Olena Duma.

She also emphasized that any business representative who meets the necessary criteria can now take part in the competition for an appraiser or manager of a seized asset. All necessary information and announcements are available on the ARMA's official website.

“Effective management of seized assets is an important mechanism for filling the state budget. I am convinced that Ukrainian business, like ARMA, is ready to make efforts to strengthen our country. Every asset for which a tender for a manager has been announced, whether it is a factory, sports center or food processing plant, is an opportunity to develop your business while supporting the state. ARMA is open to cooperation with business, ready to improve processes and even introduce the necessary legislative initiatives to ensure that the rights of honest business are protected,” emphasized the Head of ARMA.

It is worth noting that the management of seized assets brings stable revenues to the budget. For example, in 2024, 748 million UAH was transferred to the budget from the management of corporate rights of Ukrnaftoburinnya, and more than 170 million UAH from the management of corporate rights of Firtash's regional gas companies. The management of the Glusco gas station chain brought over 57 million UAH to the budget, and the management of the VinnytsiaBudkhim complex (Vuhastyk TM) brought in 40 million UAH.
