In 2025, the Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (hereinafter referred to as the OECD ACN) will implement the 5th round of monitoring of Ukraine. ARMA, led by the representative of the ARMA Chairman Pavlo Velikorychany, joined the online meeting of the OECD Monitoring Ministry within the framework of the 5th round of the Monitoring Delegation of Ukraine. The event was held in a question and answer format and covered the area of "Specialized Anti-Corruption Bodies".
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Economic Security, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, and the Commission for Conducting an External Independent Assessment of the Effectiveness of the NABU.
During his speech, the Deputy Chairman of the ARMA, Pavlo Velikorechanin, focused the attention of the OECD experts on the achievements of ARMA and the problematic issues in the field of search and asset management that the National Agency faces in its daily work, as well as on the already implemented and ongoing legislative changes aimed at increasing the efficiency of the Agency's functioning:
"ARMA continues its systemic transformation aimed at maximum transparency and efficiency of asset management. It is important that we not only demonstrate real results, but also actively adapt legislative mechanisms to international standards. We strive to create a system that will eliminate corruption risks and ensure the effective use of seized assets in the interests of the state,” emphasized Pavlo Velikorechanin.
He also emphasized that ARMA implements OECD recommendations, in particular within the framework of the Istanbul Action Plan on Combating Corruption, and will continue to work on improving the mechanisms for managing seized assets, fulfilling Ukraine’s international obligations in the field of anti-corruption policy
