ARMA strengthens cooperation with law enforcement agencies to enhance fight against financial crime

On April 17-18, the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine hosted a two-day seminar on financial investigations. ARMA was represented by Vitalii Chubaievskyi, Head of the Asset Finding and Tracing Department. The workshop was also attended by representatives of EUAM, SSU, SBI, ESBU, National Police of Ukraine, State Financial Monitoring Service, NAIA and International Cyber Academy.

The seminar was opened by the Rector of the National Academy of Internal Affairs Volodymyr Cherniei and Veronika Kristkova, Acting Head of EUAM Operational Department.

Vitalii Chubaievskyi presented a report on the role of ARMA in financial investigations and asset recovery. In particular, he spoke about the Agency's work during martial law, the structure of ARMA, achievements and experience of cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the field of asset finding and tracing.

"ARMA is one of the key institutions in our country in the fight against corruption. The main functions of the National Agency are finding and tracing assets subject to seizure in criminal proceedings and managing seized assets," he said. According to Vitalii Chubaievskyi, over the past 10 months, ARMA has transformed the agency's work and demonstrated good results, filling the state budget.

On behalf of Head of ARMA Olena Duma, Head of the Agency's Asset Finding and Tracing Department thanked the NAIA Rectorate and EUAM representatives for the opportunity to discuss urgent issues related to financial crime investigations in an expert environment.
