ARMA leadership takes part in the All-Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Forum

05-12-2023

Olena Duma, the Head of ARMA, and Grigol Katamadze, Deputy Head of ARMA  for European Integration, participated in the All-Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Forum "Integrity is the Future of Ukrainian Statehood."

The forum, dedicated to International Anti-Corruption Day, took place on December 5, 2023. The event was attended by senior government officials, Ukraine's international partners, representatives of embassies, NGOs and the media.

The All-Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Forum covered the following topics: "Anti-Corruption Reform in Ukraine: Challenges, Victories, Future," "State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025: Results of the First of Three Years," and "Integrity is the Foundation for Effective Reconstruction of Ukraine."

"The role of systemic fight against corruption cannot be underestimated," commented Olena Duma. "In the long run, the new Ukrainian society must be based on a culture of zero tolerance to corruption and social approval of integrity behavior."

In the last few months alone, the Agency has taken the following anti-corruption steps:

✅ The ARMA Anti-Corruption Program was approved;

✅ The ARMA Anti-Corruption Council was established;

✅ Connection to the Unified Whistleblower Reporting Portal was obtained;

✅ Regulations on the selection of managers and sale of seized assets in accordance with transparent European rules were approved;

✅ The Unified State Register of Seized Assets was opened;

✅ The Strategy for the Sale of Seized Assets for 2023-2025 was approved;

✅ The automation of interaction with 37 registers of other state bodies through the "Trembita" interaction system was launched.

✅ Draft laws aimed at improving the efficiency of seized assets management have been developed and submitted to the Government and Parliament.

Equally important is ARMA's inclusion in the European Network of Anti-Corruption Authorities (EPAC/EACN) and its membership in the BAMIN Supervisory Board. ARMA is confident that the intensification of anti-corruption programmes will serve as an incentive in the negotiation process for Ukraine's accession to the EU.
