Stanislav Petrov, Deputy Head of the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), took part in the Kyiv International Cybersecurity Forum (KICRF) 2025, where he presented the National Agency's achievements in digital transformation and shared plans to strengthen cybersecurity.
As part of his speech, Stanislav Petrov noted that the flagship of the Agency's information systems is the Register of Seized Assets as a tool for transparency and accountability. He noted that the Register currently contains more than 386,000 records of seized property, of which more than 72,000 have been transferred to ARMA's management.
“We have opened public access to the Register, which was a real challenge in the context of war. But today, this step not only ensures transparency of our work, but also increases confidence in the entire system of managing seized assets in Ukraine,” emphasized Stanislav Petrov.
The importance of the Registry has been confirmed at the state level by recognizing it as a critical infrastructure facility.
In addition, the parliament and the government supported ARMA's initiative to strengthen the sustainability of the Register and decided to provide resource support to the National Agency.
“Having received the status of a critical infrastructure operator, we are now working on implementing new powerful approaches to data protection and simultaneously implementing a global modernization of the register. Risk management is the identification of threats, possible negative consequences of them and, most importantly, the development of solutions that can neutralize these risks,” said Stanislav Petrov.
Among the concrete steps to modernize and enhance the security of the Unified State Register of Seized Assets, the Deputy Head of ARMA noted the creation of a comprehensive cyber defense system that will meet the highest international standards. The ARMA also plans to build a backup data center to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Register even in emergency situations. In addition, the agency is working on a significant modification of the Register of Seized Assets, which will increase its functionality, speed and user-friendliness.
