The main goal of the "UA OSINT HACKATHON" was to create a platform where representatives of the state, business and non-governmental organizations could join forces, share experiences and create innovative approaches to effectively investigate war crimes. The hackathon became a platform for developing technological solutions and finding new approaches to the use of OSINT in the security and defense sector.
At the hackathon, the ARMA team was represented by specialists from the Department for Finding, Tracing and Investigation of Financial and Other Assets, which, in addition to identifying and tracing assets, is working to improve tools and processes that allow for effective combating of economic crimes.
“ARMA is interested in applying OSINT methods to improve the efficiency of its work, especially in investigations of corruption offenses,” said Vitaliy Chubaievskyi, Director of the Department.
During the two-day hackathon, the ARMA team had the opportunity to discuss with colleagues new opportunities for applying OSINT technologies in their work, share experience in searching and analyzing open data, which allows them to locate illegally obtained assets in investigations of financial crimes. The event was an important step in developing the skills of the National Agency's employees in the field of open investigations (OSINT).
“UA OSINT HACKATHON” was held with the support of the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. The event was attended by representatives of key law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, business and non-governmental organizations.
