ARMA's status as a member of the BAMIN Steering Group extended until 2025

17-12-2024

During a meeting of the Steering Group of the Balkan Asset Management Interagency Network (BAMIN), it was confirmed that ARMA will remain a member of the BAMIN Steering Group in 2025.

The meeting marks an important moment as the Republic of Croatia is preparing to take over the BAMIN Chairmanship from North Macedonia, and the next Steering Group meeting will be held in February 2025 in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia. The Steering Group discussed the upcoming Annual General Meeting to be held in the Republic of Croatia in May 2025 and set the main theme of the meeting as “Social Reuse”.

Given the importance of BAMIN, the Steering Group is particularly addressing the issue of network expansion as more and more jurisdictions join. These jurisdictions range from the EU to Asia, strengthening international cooperation in the management of seized and confiscated assets in line with the goals of BAMIN. Thus, during the last meeting, the Bishop of Guernsey was granted observer status in BAMIN.

The main mission of BAMIN is to promote cooperation between Asset Management Institutions, facilitate cross-border cooperation in this area and serve as a center for the exchange of information, best practices and experience.

As of today, BAMIN includes 25 jurisdictions, including Ukraine.
