The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) demonstrates the effectiveness of managing strategic enterprises on the example of the Ovruch crushed stone plant. The company's manager, selected in an open tender, has already made the first payment to the state budget and is actively working to restore production capacity.
“This is a real example of ARMA's work to restore Ukraine's economy. Due to effective management, we managed not only to preserve a unique enterprise with a license to extract the best red granite, but also to restore its operation. The manager has repaid debts, preserved jobs and ensured the flow of funds to the budget,” said the Head of ARMA Olena Duma.
In a short period of time, LLC «Tamerlan-1» has achieved significant results: the manager has paid off a significant part of the debts for electricity supply, retained the workforce and started restoring the main production line for mining. An important achievement was the first guarantee payment to the state budget.
The company is particularly proud of its special permit for the extraction of red granite, one of the strongest building materials used in industrial, hydraulic and civil engineering construction, which is valid until 2036.
The path to this success was not easy. Throughout the year, ARMA held dozens of working meetings and conferences to restore the company's operations. Key challenges included preventing flooding of the facility, which was negotiated with «Ukrinterenergo», and maintaining production capacity, which was discussed with the regional military administration, the city council and the workforce. Despite the initial difficulties with debt and partial flooding of the quarry, the agency's systematic work helped to maintain the investment attractiveness of the enterprise and find an effective manager.
Thus, through effective management, ARMA ensures not only the preservation of the economic value of the asset, but also its development and modernization, which contributes to the strengthening of Ukraine's economy as a whole.
