Yesterday, by the decision of the Sixth Appeals Administrative Court, the license for gas production at the Sakhalin field was renewed, which was a significant victory for ARMA in the interests of the state. However, the state has already suffered billions in losses due to the cessation of hydrocarbon production. Those responsible for this damage to national interests should bear fair responsibility. ARMA has already appealed to law enforcement agencies to bring the guilty parties to justice.
The cancellation of the special permit for gas extraction in December of last year was not only a violation of national interests, but also led to significant losses for the state. Only under the management contract with ARMA, the state budget could receive at least 1 billion hryvnias, as well as taxes and other local fees. The total amount of damages can be estimated at approximately 3 billion hryvnias.
The Agency has already submitted a corresponding statement to the law enforcement agencies.
In addition, in connection with this, a separate court decision was also issued yesterday regarding the Ukrainian Geological Survey (Derzhgeonadr), sent to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) and the General Prosecutor Office (OGP).
At the same time, on Thursday, August 8, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HCC) will consider the application of the former owners of the Sakhalin field to cancel the seizure of property and transfer property rights to ARMA. The Agency is ready for this meeting and will continue to defend the interests of the state.
ARMA will provide all necessary measures and cooperation with law enforcement agencies to ensure revenues to the state budget through the management of seized assets.
