On November 26-27, the delegation of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) took part in the 23rd EPAC/EACN Annual Professional Conference (Bucharest, Romania).
This year's conference brought together representatives of international organizations, EU agencies and EPAC/EACN members to discuss crucial issues related to the field of preventing and combating corruption. Ukraine is represented at the event by NABU Head Semen Kryvonos, Head of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention Viktor Pavlushchyk and Deputy Head of the ARMA Stanislav Petrov.
The opening speeches were delivered by the Secretary of State, Minister of Internal Affairs of Romania Mihai-Ketelin Nekula, President of EPAC/EACN and Director of the Special Investigation Service of Latvia Linas Pernavas, and Director of the General Anti-Corruption Directorate of Romania Ovidiu-Ciprian Antohe.
ARMA Deputy Head emphasized: “A year after becoming a member of EPAC, ARMA is setting the vector and strengthening the unity of anti-corruption agencies to establish justice, bring economic accountability and return the stolen assets to Ukraine. Our experience has already become an example for other countries.”
In addition, as part of the working visit, the Ukrainian delegation is scheduled to participate in the EPAC/EACN General Assembly, which will take place tomorrow, November 27, 2024.
As a reminder, on November 3, 2023, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency of Ukraine (ARMA) became a member of the European Partners Against Corruption (EPAC/EACN). All EPAC members in Dublin (Ireland) voted for the inclusion of the Ukrainian ARMA.
