Today, on September, 20 the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (hereinafter - ARMA) and Energy and Utilities the National Regulatory Commission (Ukraine) (hereinafter - NERCU) signed the Memorandum on cooperation and exchange of information.
The Memorandum establishes the procedure of cooperation and exchange of information on finding, tracing and management of assets, that can be seized in criminal proceedings, determines the organization of access and measures to ensure the protection of information processing.
The signed Memorandum enables ARMA to receive information on the relevant assets of economic entities in the energy and utilities sectors, state regulation, monitoring and control of which is carried out by NERCU and facilitate interaction on the transfer of seized assets into management at the energy market.
According to the Head of ARMA Anton Yanchuk, the interagency cooperation between ARMA and NERCU is aimed at implementing of provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes" in particular regarding access to automated information and reference systems, registers and data banks maintained by regulator.
Also, the parties agreed to hold workshops, seminars, conferences, round tables, etc.
