10-02-2025

Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has find and traced the assets of individuals involved in organizing the illegal manufacture and sale of counterfeit medicines in Ukraine, which caused significant losses to the state.

According to the investigation, a group of Kyiv residents, through controlled legal entities, organized the production and illegal trafficking of medicines containing psychotropic substances classified as narcotic drugs.

Through the use of information and reference systems, as well as databases, the ARMA's Financial and Other Asset Finding and Tracing Department collected and analyzed detailed information about the beneficiaries and assets controlled by them. A number of assets were identified, including:

21 non-residential properties, including offices, cafes and parking lots in Kyiv
26 residential properties in the capital
16 land plots in Zakarpattia, Donetsk and Ivano-Frankivsk regions
A luxury car and an aircraft
Shares in authorized capital

The findings have been forwarded to the National Police to take the necessary measures, including seizure of the identified assets.

Pavlo Velykorechanin, Deputy Head of the ARMA, said: “Such cooperation is an important step to ensure that the criminals are held not only legally liable, but also economically. Thanks to the coordinated work of the Agency and the National Police, we were able to identify the assets of the criminals for further seizure. Criminally acquired assets should be used in the interests of the state.”
