Today, on April 26, in the framework of the II Anti-Corruption Forum, Head of ARMA Olena Duma and President of the Ukrainian Advocates’ Association Olha Dmytrieva signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of protection a seized property owners' rights.
The signing of the agreement marks an important milestone in the development of ARMA as an effective tool for fighting corruption and protecting the interests of the state and citizens of Ukraine.
"Today, with the signing of this Memorandum, ARMA has launched a new stage of cooperation with the legal community," said Head of the National Agency.
Over the past 10 months, she said, the Agency's titanic work has shown that it can meet European standards.
"Our capabilities will be expanded in the areas of proper provision of legal aid - this is the first. The protection of the rights I mentioned (Ed. - to protect the interests of the state and protect the rights of owners - citizens of Ukraine) is the second, and the possibility of consultations and explanations that the Agency and our employees provide even to detectives, investigators, judges and other authorities within their powers," said Olena Duma.
Head of ARMA thanked the Ukrainian Advocates' Association and noted that it is a great honour to work with lawyers of such a high level.
"We believe that this cooperation will be mutually beneficial and will help us achieve our common goal of fighting corruption and protecting Ukrainian interests," concluded Olena Duma.
