ARMA and the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs will cooperate to ensure effective usage of seized assets for the needs of the Ukrainian economy

Olena Duma, Head of the National Agency of Ukraine for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (ARMA), held a working meeting with Anatoliy Kinakh, President of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

The participants discussed the preservation and restoration of the production capacity of companies and the economic profitability of assets managed by ARMA.

"In the conditions of the war, national losses, economic instability, declining GDP, along with the ambitious plans of the ARMA, its important to attract all possible resources and instruments for effective management seized assets and to fill the budget," said Olena Duma.

The ULIE suggested that ARMA jointly expand cooperation with international partners. In particular, the business union is an observer in the Business in the OECD association, has memorandums of cooperation with the US National Association of Manufacturers, business associations in the Baltic States, Finland, France, Poland, and others.

"It is necessary to effectively use the potential of companies in projectsto restore Ukraine from the consequences of the war and we propose ARMA to combine efforts," said Anatoliy Kinakh.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to
- sign a memorandum of cooperation and approve a clear action plan for 2024;
- use financial mechanisms for managers' managers;
-cooperate in using and effectively managing seized assets;

 

All of these issues will be further considered at a joint meeting of ARMA, Anti-Crisis Headquarters and the ULIE in the near future.
