The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has urgently appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office to intervene in situation with the appeal to the Supreme Court against the decision of the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal to revoke the gas production license of “Ukrnaftoburinnya”.
The Sakhalin oil and gas condensate field is managed by the National Agency and transferred to PJSC “Ukrnafta” by the Government Order.
ARMA has also appealed to the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine.
The Interregional Territorial Department has been tasked with conducting a thorough inspection and verification of the seized asset.
"Under the terms of the management agreement, the Agency expected PJSC “Ukrnafta” would generate billions of dollars in revenues for the state budget. The manager is obligated to transfer 90% of its revenues to the state treasury at the end of the year," stated the Head of ARMA Olena Duma. "The Prosecutor General's Office and the National Agency must jointly ensure the interests of the state and protect the basic needs of Ukrainian citizens."
The license revocation and suspension of natural gas production has already resulted in the termination of energy supplies to the village of Kitchenkivka in the Kharkiv region.
The ARMA believes that the revocation of the license revocation during wartime sets the stage for financial losses for the country's budget and creates conditions for new lengthy tenders for the special permit.
Halting the operations of a gas production company during wartime is deemed unacceptable and poses a threat to the life and health of citizens, as well as to the energy and national security of the country.
