During the first five months of 2018, the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (hereinafter the National Agency) transferred revenues from seized assets management to the State Budget of Ukraine for the amount of 3 441 921 UAH.

Also, the National Agency places on the deposit accounts of the state bank funds which have been seized in criminal proceedings. In particular, during 2018, the National Agency placed 5 deposit tranches for a total amount of more than 188 million UAH. For the use of these funds placed on deposit accounts in a state bank, interest is accrued in the amount of 6 101 764 UAH.

In addition, the National agency sold the assets in the amount of 500 000 UAH. The Law provides that proceeds received from disposal of assets shall be transferred to the special deposit account.

It should be reminded, that based on a court ruling the National Agency is entitled for management of assets seized or confiscated in criminal proceedings in order to preserve or maintain economic value of the assets by:

- transferring into management using asset management agreement;

- disposal – sale with further cash disposal in state banking system temporary – till the end of the criminal proceedings.
