On September 1, 2018, a Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 22.08.2018 №637 “On Amending Certain Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine”, which regulates some issues related to the management of seized vehicles has come into force.
The Resolution provides for the possibility of issuing a temporary registration card by the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as a new certificate of registration and license plates for the manager of seized assets, with which ARMA has concluded an appropriate agreement on managing such assets.
Also, a list of documents confirming the legality of the purchase of vehicles by the contract for the sale of a vehicle concluded on the basis of public bidding (auctions) or electronic bidding, on which the seller is ARMA, has been supplemented.
In addition, in order to simplify the process of re-registration of a vehicle, the procedure for removing a vehicle from the register during the transfer of ownership to the new owner is excluded.
The Resolution clarifies provisions of the section “The property, that is rapidly losing its value” of the annex to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 13.09.2017 No. 685 “On an approximate list of property, including in the form of items or large quantities of goods, storage of which because of its unwieldiness or for other reasons is impossible without extra difficulties, or the costs of providing special storage conditions for which or management commensurate with its value, or that is rapidly losing its value, as well as property in the form of goods or products that are subject to rapid spoilage, to be sold”, which gives the ARMA the right to independently determine the way of vehicle management - the sale or transfer into management under the contract.
