Tax fraud worth UAH 30 million: ARMA finds real estate, cars and agricultural machinery of involved persons

17-12-2024

According to the investigation, the company's officials created a scheme to evade value-added tax by documenting non-existent transactions with companies with “risky” characteristics. As a result, the state budget lost more than UAH 30 million in tax revenues.

Pursuant to the request of the pre-trial investigation body, ARMA conducted extensive measures to identify and trace the assets of the persons involved in the criminal proceedings. In particular, ARMA found

- about 50 units of agricultural machinery and vehicles

- 6 residential and non-residential real estate objects

- contributions to the authorized capital of companies in the amount of about UAH 16 million

- more than 10 trademarks

“In times of war, tax fraud is a blow to the state's defense capability. Every hryvnia that should have gone to the budget but did not due to such schemes means lost funds to support our defenders. ARMA is ready to ensure that the identified assets work effectively for the state and compensate for the damage caused,” emphasized Pavlo Velykorechanin, Deputy Head of ARMA.

The information on the identified assets has been transferred to the pre-trial investigation body for seizure with a further possibility of transferring them to ARMA management. The detected property can be used to compensate for the losses incurred by the state budget due to the effective management of ARMA.
