Within the framework of the signed interagency agreement, the exchange of experience between the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) and the Agency for the Management of Seized Property of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FAZUOI) continues.
An online meeting was held with the participation of the Head of ARMA Olena Duma and the Head of FAZUOI Emir Bashić, which was also attended by team members of both agencies and heads of interregional territorial divisions of ARMA.
“We are currently on the path of European integration processes. In order to bring Ukrainian legislation closer to European standards, we have to share our experience with our European colleagues, and this meeting is an example of successful cooperation between ARMA and similar European agencies,” said the Head of ARMA Olena Duma.
During the meeting, colleagues from FAZUOI informed that they have the capacity to establish regional offices of the Agency in the country. Therefore, they are interested in gaining ARMA's practical experience in interacting with the ARMA central office and its six interregional territorial departments.
During the event, each representative of ARMA's ITD also had the opportunity to ask questions about the specifics of the work of the Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the management of seized assets.
In August 2024, Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed an interagency international agreement on asset recovery and management.
