Today, on April 3, the Institute of Legal Personnel Training for the Security Service of Ukraine of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University held an online course on Preventing and Counteracting the Criminal Use of Virtual Assets.
Course was attended by ARMA staff, including the Asset Finding and Tracing Department, Cyber Police of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Digital Transformation and Ministry of Justice.
The purpose of the course was to increase the participants' awareness and competence in matters related to cryptocurrencies, specifics of transaction taxation of virtual assets, and legal regulation of the virtual assets sector, including discussion of the relevant draft laws 10225 and 10225-1. In addition, they discussed the immediate prospects for the development of the investigation methodology related to virtual assets.
"ARMA often faces a number of obstacles in its work to find certain assets, so such courses are necessary to share experience and knowledge with other agencies and institutions in order to improve this process. I am confident that the gained knowledge will contribute to the Agency's even more effective work in the field of asset recovery and tracing," said Vitalii Chubaievskyi, Head of the Asset Finding and Tracing Department.
