According to the investigation, officials of a group of state-owned companies, in collusion with business entities, abusing their official duties, illegally seized and disposed of state budget funds. The offenders committed such actions during public procurement for legal entities in the energy sector.

Pursuant to a request from the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine employees of the Department of Finding , Tracing and Recovery of Assets in Foreign Jurisdictions of the ARMA, using available tools and access to relevant databases, found about 300 million UAH and 2 million USD on the bank accounts of the companies involved in the scheme. In addition to the funds on the bank accounts, 11 real estate objects, 6 land plots and 15 weapons were also found.

According to Pavlo Velykorechanin, Deputy Head of the ARMA, the information on the finding assets has been forwarded to the law enforcement agency for further seizure and compensation of losses to the state budget.

“ARMA is working to ensure that the loot is returned to the state budget and works for the benefit of Ukraine,” emphasized Pavlo Velykorechanin, Deputy Head of ARMA.
