Pursuant to a request from the Main Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine, ARMA found and traced the assets of 29 former Ukrainian law enforcement officers.
After russia’s full-scale invasion into Ukraine, these individuals took part in the formation of the “Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kherson Region”, a russian punitive and repressive “law enforcement” body in the region, and voluntarily took up positions in it.
This group of ex-law enforcement officers, under the control of russian special services, systematically committed crimes against the Ukrainian civilian population: they imprisoned, tortured, abused and intimidated civilians to participate in the pseudo-referendum held by the occupation authorities in the regional center.
Pavlo Velykorechanin, the Deputy Head of ARMA, said: “The ARMA’s Asset Finding and Tracing Division has traced the following assets belonging to the suspects:
Land plots - 13;
Residential property - 4;
Vehicles - 1;
Weapons - 1;
Shares in the authorised capital - UAH 1000”.
The ARMA forwarded the information to law enforcement agencies for appropriate action, including seizure of the assets and their subsequent confiscation to the state.
