Head of the Agency took part in meeting with members of EU Parliament

Today, September 21, the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine for finding, tracing and management of assets tderived from corruption and other crimes, Anton Yanchuk took part in a meeting with the delegation of the European Parliament, within the framework of the program of the 6th sitting of the Parliamentary Association Committee Ukraine - EU.

During the meeting Anton Yanchuk emphasized that the newly established National Agency is similar to the ARO/AMO offices of the EU member states, created in accordance with the best practices and EU law, as well as within implementation of the EU-Ukraine Action Plan on Visa Lisa Liberalisation.

The head of the Agency also informed the deputies of the European Parliament about the main tasks and functions entitled to the Agency, briefed on the actviities undertaken to launch finding, tracing and asset management activities, shared plans for the future and outlined the challenges that the Agency can be facing.

Members of the EP stressed the urgency to implement consistent steps in the fight against corruption in Ukraine and expressed support for the work of anti-corruption bodies.

Ukrainian side at meeting were presented by Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, A. Sitnik, member of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, O. Seryogin, EUACI Project Director, E. Tkeshelashvili, representatives of the Anti Corruption Action Center and Transparency International Ukraine.
