Olena Duma: "In July, ARMA will hold an open tender among state banks for managing seized funds under deposit terms."

27-06-2024

Every month, ARMA receives proposals from state banks regarding the terms of asset management in their accounts based on its requests, constantly monitoring the current interest rates on bank deposits. The Agency's analysis shows that there is competitiveness even among state banks.

That is why ARMA will hold an open tender for state banks to manage seized assets. This involves billions of hryvnias and tens of millions of dollars and euros managed by ARMA. This figure is dynamic, as new rulings on the seizure of assets and their transfer to ARMA for management are received daily.

"In July, ARMA will hold an open tender among state banks for managing seized funds under deposit terms. The Agency continues to enhance the transparency of all processes related to the management of seized assets," emphasizes Olena Duma, Head of ARMA.

The key selection criterion will be the interest rate proposed by the banks. The bank that offers the highest rate will gain the right to hold the seized funds. This will create healthy competition among all existing state banks and encourage them to offer the most favorable terms.

In particular, separate tenders are planned for different currencies — hryvnia, dollar, and euro. This will allow securing the best terms for each currency individually.

We remind you that for 8 years, the seized funds managed by ARMA were held on the accounts of only one state-owned bank, and there was no transparent and understandable selection procedure that would allow other state-owned banks to participate in an open selection.
