On November 27, the 7th meeting of the Asset Management Subgroup of the EU Asset Recovery Office Platform took place in Brussels, in which Ms. Liudmyla Suhak - Head of International Department and Vitalii Riznyk - Head of the Asset Management Department took part on behalf of ARMA.

Representing the legislative and organizational framework for asset management, ARMA representatives emphasized Ukraine's interest in further international cooperation within the EU Asset Recovery Office Platform and Asset Management Subgroup.

During the Subgroup meeting, participants exchanged experience and familiarized best practices in the field of asset management, considered issues related to asset management databases in the EU, the establishment of new structures for asset management in the EU, management of cross-border assets, got acquainted with the Study on the state of implementation of the Directive 2014/42/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 April 2014 on the freezing and confiscation of instrumentalities and proceeds of crime, reviewed practical cases on asset management, the issue of reuse of confiscated assets in public and social purposes, and developed a number of recommendations for the effective development of the asset management function and discussed plans for further cooperation.    

The meeting of Asset Management Subgroup is an annual event.

The Subgroup was created by the EU Asset Recovery Office Platform in order to promote best practices in asset management.
