During the first month of 2024, ARMA secured UAH 59 million in budget revenues by managing seized assets

05-02-2024

Since the beginning of 2024, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency has generated UAH 59 million in revenue for the state budget from asset management.

One month of work brought in one and a half times more to the budget compared to 2022 and made up 60% of all revenues for the previous year.

The lion's share of the proceeds came from the payments made by two managers of the seized property:

  1. "Ukrnafta" PJSC: UAH 21 million as a guarantee payment for the Glusco petrol station of traitor Viktor Medvedchuk
  2. “Chornomornaftogaz” JSC: UAH 23 million.

The Agency will continue to work on increasing the efficiency of large managers. In some cases (for example, in the case of managing 96 non-residential commercial properties located in different regions of Ukraine), the ARMA sees the potential to increase revenues by ten times. In addition, the National Agency has announced a second tender for K. Zhevago's properties (real estate in Kyiv and Poltava).

In terms of the effectiveness in managing seized funds, the ARMA has been steadily purchasing Military Bonds, which the National Agency has purchased for UAH 3.7 billion. As of 5 February 2024, the total bond portfolio has already generated interest income of almost UAH 300 million. The forecast interest income from the bonds for 2024 is UAH 600 million.

In January, the ARMA's foreign currency deposit portfolio increased by $5.7 million to almost $20 million and €7.8 million. A significant portion of these funds will be immediately used by the government agency to purchase Military Bonds after the amendments to the Law on ARMA are approved, which will give the Agency such authority.
